A one-of-a-kind collaboration between AD and TRU Realty, the TRU Project explores the best of architecture and design in an architecture competition. Architects were invited to submit design plans for luxury villas at TRU Realty’s Kekarav Project, a lush 36-acre site in Pune. Three finalists were chosen who truly showcased phenomenal talent and expertise within the realm of modern, sustainable development.

About TRU Realty’s Kekarav Project

In an era of aggressive development and urbanization, it’s a rare thing to find  a home that embraces both nature and luxury. Pune-based developers TRU Realty, are focussed on bridging the gap between an eco-conscious lifestyle and luxury living. TRU Realty boasts an impressive portfolio of properties across Mumbai and Pune, the most notable of which is Kekarav in Pune, an exclusive gated community, set against a magnificent setting of 36 acres, with a whopping 197 villas in 3BHK, 4BHK, and 5BHK that range from 2400 sq ft to 6000 sq ft.

The real estate developer has a strong focus on building a sustainable future. The gated community is a self-sustainable project that has adopted a number of ecologically-forward features including on-site holding ponds to meet the water requirements, water recycling and monitoring with smart metering.

An architecture competition like no other

The TRU Project—a collaboration by AD and TRU Realty, invited talents from the realm of architecture and design to submit plans for luxury villas at TRU Realty’s Kekarav Project. The brief was simple yet challenging — to make the best use of the humongous 36-acre lush site in Pune and submit plans for luxury villas across three categories—classic, modernist, and cutting edge.

Out of thousands of entries that were received from all over the world, Daisaria Associates was one of the three lucky ones to make the final cut. Their Mount Casa project, an exotic contour-oriented villa, happens to be close to the hustle and bustle of city life, yet it is interestingly located in the lap of nature, in a green corner of Bavdhan Hills.

Mount Casa

While Daisaria Associates, as a firm, has worked on various competitions of varying scales in the past, TRU Project proved to be one of the most organised competitions they have ever worked on so far, as a 36-acre lush green gated community was left all open to them to put on their concepts.

Comprising Casa Dim, Casa Cypher, and Casa Plus, their project Mount Casa is essentially a cluster of three and four BHK luxury villas ranging between 2000-3500 sq ft that presents a unique interplay between built and open spaces, ensuring abundant light and air. The rooms allow you to move seamlessly from inside to outside. The ample openings and the limited materials that went into the making of the villa not only make it sustainable but also visually harmonious, ensuring a feeling of living amidst nature.

Daisaria, as a firm, cares a lot about forms and aesthetics as it believes in the power of appearance to appeal to emotions and feelings. With the level of freedom and vast material palette the architects got with this project, they went into a lot of details about costing and quantity analysis and how different permutations and combinations can be given to customers. The result, Mount Casa, is an architectural marvel that establishes the vision of tomorrow.
